Treatments

Care shaped around you and what you are feeling.

Every treatment below is explained in plain language, with the medical name in brackets so you know exactly what it is. Most are done with lasers or keyhole methods, which means less pain and a faster recovery.

Kidney & Ureter Stones

The signs are often sharp pain in the back or side, nausea, or blood in the urine. Stones are removed with a thin scope and laser, so there is usually no open cut and you recover quickly.

  • RIRS (laser through a flexible scope)
  • PCNL (keyhole for larger stones)
  • URSL (for stones in the ureter)

Bladder Stones

These can cause a burning feeling, trouble passing urine, or needing to go very often. They are broken up and cleared in a short, gentle procedure.

  • Cystolithotripsy (break and remove)
  • No open surgery in most cases
  • Quick same day recovery

Women's Urology

Leaking urine when you cough, laugh or exercise, or a feeling of something bulging below, is common and very treatable. Care is private, gentle and respectful.

  • Urine leakage (stress incontinence)
  • Prolapse and cystocele repair
  • TVT-O sling and other procedures

Prostate Problems (BPH)

Common in men over 50: a weak stream, dribbling, or waking many times at night to pass urine. An enlarged prostate can be treated with medicine or a keyhole procedure.

  • TURP (keyhole prostate surgery)
  • TUIP (for smaller prostates)
  • Medicines where surgery is not needed

Urethral Stricture

When the urine passage narrows, the stream becomes weak and passing urine takes effort. The narrowing is opened and, if needed, repaired so flow returns to normal.

  • VIU (keyhole cut to open the narrowing)
  • Urethroplasty (surgical repair)
  • Long lasting relief

Bladder Tumours & Keyhole Surgery

Blood in the urine should always be checked. If a growth is found in the bladder, it can be removed through a scope without any external cut, and examined to guide next steps.

  • TURBT (remove bladder growth)
  • Keyhole and laparoscopic surgery
  • Faster healing, smaller scars

Urinary Infections (UTI)

Burning while passing urine, going often, or fever with back pain, these can be simple infections or something needing closer care. They are diagnosed and treated properly to stop them returning.

  • UTI and cystitis
  • Kidney infection (pyelonephritis)
  • Recurrent infection care

Fistula & Reconstruction

An abnormal leak of urine (a fistula) can follow childbirth or previous surgery and is deeply distressing. It can be repaired to restore normal, dry comfort and dignity.

  • VVF repair (bladder to vagina)
  • UVF repair (ureter to vagina)
  • Restores comfort and confidence

Common Questions

It is natural to wonder, here is some reassurance

If you notice blood in the urine, pain in the back or side, burning or difficulty passing urine, frequent infections, urine leakage, or a weak stream, it is worth getting checked. Problems caught early are usually simpler to treat.

In most cases, no. Stones are treated with lasers and thin scopes passed through the natural urine passage, or through a tiny keyhole. This means little to no cutting, less pain, and a quick recovery.

Absolutely. Urology deals with very personal matters every day. You will be treated with complete discretion and respect, and nothing you share leaves the room. Please do not let embarrassment delay your care.

Yes, this is a special area of focus. Leakage when you cough or laugh, and prolapse, are very common and very treatable, often with a simple sling procedure. Many women feel relief they wish they had sought years earlier.

No. Many problems are managed with medicines, simple changes, and monitoring. Surgery is only suggested when it is genuinely the best choice for you, and it will always be explained clearly first.
